Exchange & Returns Policy

The honest bit about exchanges
Every shirt we sell is second-hand and one of one. That means we can't swap a shirt for the same shirt in another size — there is no other one. It doesn't exist.
So an “exchange” here works one of two ways:
- Swap for something else on the rack. Send the shirt back and pick a different one. If the new shirt costs more, you pay the difference; if it costs less, we refund it.
- Just take the refund. Send it back and we'll put the money back on your card.
If sizing is the worry, don't guess — ask us before you buy and we'll measure the shirt flat (pit to pit, collar to hem) and send you the numbers. Vintage sizing is wildly inconsistent, and a 90s Large is rarely a modern Large.
The 14-day window
You have 14 days from delivery to start a return, for any reason at all. The shirt needs to come back unworn, unwashed, and in the condition it arrived in, with any tags still attached.
If you simply changed your mind, return postage is on you. That's the trade-off that keeps second-hand prices where they are.
If we described it wrong
This is the one that matters. If the shirt turns up and it isn't what the listing said — a flaw we didn't mention, a size that doesn't match the label, print damage we missed, or anything that makes you doubt it's genuine — that's our mistake, not your problem.
We pay the return postage and refund you in full, including what you paid to have it sent. No argument, no restocking fee, no haggling over whose fault it was. We grade hard and describe flaws in writing precisely so this doesn't happen — and when it does, we wear it.
What can't come back
- Shirts that have been worn, washed, or altered.
- Shirts returned after 14 days without us agreeing to it first.
- Shirts returned because of wear that was disclosed. If the listing said “cracked print” and the print is cracked, that isn't a fault — it's the shirt you chose.
Refund timing
Once your return lands and we've checked it, we refund to your original payment method within 3 business days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
How to start one
Reply to your order confirmation email, or contact us with your order reference and a line about what's wrong. We'll send the return address and sort it from there. A real person reads it.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. Second-hand goods are covered — the guarantees simply account for the age and condition of the item as we described it at the time of sale.
